I’m back home after attending the Candela Tech Summit 2025, and here’s my recap of the event. It was a vibrant, energetic gathering focused on Wi-Fi solution testing innovation, and I witnessed an incredible sense of community and passion. A major force behind the success of this summit is Sitarama, CTO and GM of Candela. His leadership and dedication to empowering the next generation of engineers is truly remarkable and deeply inspiring.

This is third Candela Technology Summit and for the first time, they invited seven guest speakers (listed below) to their annual event. I was honored to be one of them and delivered a presentation on “Wi-Fi 7 Security Enhancement”. You can watch the recorded sessions form below links.

  2. Nuts & Bolts of Open Wi-Fi & OpenWRT by Shivam
  3. Wi-Fi 802.11 PHY – Hits and Misses by Srikanth
  4. Wi-Fi 7 Security Enhancement by Rasika
  5. Understand EHT PreambleGjermund
  6. Role of AI in Wi-Fi by Bhuvnesh

We had number of sessions from Candela engineers who presented many different topics based on their projects and testing work done.

  6. MLO Behaviour : Impact on legacy devices and Roaming by Shyamal, Kiranmai and Rajendra

In the evening, we had a panel discussion on “Building Impactful Careers in Wi-Fi industry” and I was fortunate to be one of the panel members and sharing my experience with the community.

During the event, I had the opportunity to meet many of Candela’s engineers, and I believe it was an inspiring moment for them. I’ll be writing a separate post to share some of their feedback and reflections.

I was lucky to meet Sitarama’s entire family—including his parents—and I told his kids how fortunate they are to have a father like him. I encouraged them to keep following in his footsteps.

Even though I stayed for only two days, I had the chance to do a little sightseeing—thanks to one of Candela’s engineers, Rudra, who kindly took the time to chauffeur us around.

I’m looking forward to attending future Candela events and contributing value to the talented engineers at the company
