I had an amazing opportunity to get behind-the-scenes access at Candela — one of the leading Wi-Fi testing solution providers based in Visakhapatnam, India. I was invited by Sitarama to attend their annual technical summit, CTS (Candela Tech Summit 2025), and as part of that, I got to tour their facility.

I had the opportunity to record a podcast with their Weekly Wi-Fi Wisdom team, where I shared my personal Wi-Fi journey and why I dedicate time to inspiring the younger generation. Once it is out, I will link it here.

One of their post-sales lead engineers, Basker, took the time to show me around their entire lab facility.

Here is the setup they got to test real devices and virtual devices “Network in a Box” where many different device profiles can be tested like home, cafe, office scenarios

They also have an IoT lab setup that provides a GUI interface through the Candela application to control the devices.

Then I saw their full-scale home lab, set up with IoT and Wi-Fi devices in a real home environment. They test these devices from the perspective of multiple access point vendors.

One thing that truly struck me was how closely the entire Candela team works — like one big family. Most employees are provided with nearby accommodation, and the company offers free lunch to the entire team. Everywhere you go, you’ll see positive messages on the walls, encouraging them to dream big and aim higher.
