I am back at home after another successful WLPC (the best wireless conference) event in Pheonix USA. It is a special one for me as I delivered a 3-day bootcamp using my own content (Rockstar Wireless Analysis) that I developed for WiFi Training. As it is an instructor-led version I included a lot of live lab exercises for students to get them comfortable with wireless frame analysis. Here is the ILT course flow.

The class was well-received and we had a lot of interactive conversations. Students got a lot of time to go through frame analysis and live demos & taking PCAPs during the class. We had a simple lab setup shown below where two live APs in the class (one client serving & one in sniffer mode) to facilitate those live demos and allow students to take PCAPs.

We spent a good amount of time going through all new security WPA3 & Enhanced Open. On the last day, we demonstrated the importance of PMF (Protected Management Frames) which is a mandatory requirement for all those new security methods. Jason Beshara – one of the well-experienced WLAN Professionals was in the class and He got a WiFi Matrix & WiFi Deauth tool and we used Ekahau Sidekick2 (courtesy of another student -Brett from Clemson Uni) to visualize the spectrum during those simulations.

Here is a group photo of the class at the end of Day-3 (Photo credit Sam Clements).

Here are a few more random captures during the class.

I am grateful to everyone for choosing this boot camp and giving me valuable feedback during the class. I will take those inputs and make this class even better in future deliveries.

If you want to become WiFi Rockstar, this training will definitely help you. Here is the link to register if you are interested to get this training.
